Project Description
For this client, Parsons provided detailed design and construction management for a state-of-the-art winery in northern California. The new winery is a leap forward in the large-scale production of wines for the domestic market. It allows the client to produce delicious wines using much less expensive grapes than normally required for vintages of this quality.
Design and procurement began in January, followed by layout and process completion in March, and fast-track construction, all to be ready for the August crush. Although the client was uncertain such a fast-track schedule could be achieved, the plant began receiving grapes in mid-August. Preliminary tasting reports indicated the product quality exceeds expectation.
